The African Stroke Organization (ASO), established in 2016, is the leading continental body dedicated to tackling the growing burden of stroke in Africa. Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability across the continent, yet access to prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services remains limited. ASO was formed to provide a unified, evidence-based, and collaborative response.
