On October 29, Africa joins the world to mark World Stroke Day — a powerful reminder that when it comes to stroke, every minute counts.
A stroke happens when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted. Without oxygen, brain cells begin to die within minutes. That means the difference between recovery and disability often depends on how quickly someone gets medical help.
This year, the Africa Stroke Organisation (ASO) is amplifying one clear message:
⚠️ Recognize stroke early. Act immediately. Save a life.
